Sukosan, Croatia - marina Dalmacija

Marina Dalmacija is located in Sukosan, just 7 km south of Zadar , it is situated near Sukosan along the coast and, covering an area of 125 acres, is Croatia's largest marina.  Marina has been awarded with the blue flag, award received in response to its enviromental protection efforts.

The marina is base of many charter yachts owned by diferent charter companies. Sukosan is a small town of narrow alleys about 11km south of Zadar along the coast. Located on the bay of the same name it has many beautiful sand beaches.

Approach: Boats enter between the breakwater to the west and the artificial island to the east; the extremities of both are marked with lights. The marina is well-protected from all winds, but south-easterlies can create slight swells.

Open: Throughout the whole year.

Mooring: The marina has 1200 sea berths and 500 storage berths on land. All berths have water and power supply.

Facilities: Reception, exchange office. restaurant and cafes, grocery shop, chandlery (nautical equipment and supplies), 30 t crane, 65 t travel lift. The fuel pump station is in the marina and boasts a water depht of 4,5 m.

How to reach marina Dalmacija in Sukosan ?

Ideally situated due it's proximity to the national parks: Kornati (14 Nm), Plitvice 150 km, Paklenica (50 km) and Krka (75 km). It can be easily reached by road or by sea, and Zadar Airport is only 5 km away.

By plane
The Zadar airport is only 11 km far away from Sukosan, and there are regular flights from Zagreb on a daily basis.

By car or bus
You can reach Sukosan by car if travelling via Trieste, Rijeka, and then use the Adriatic highway toward Zadar, if you prefer to travel along the coast. Or you can use the highway when you reach Rijeka or the junction ZutaLokva near the town Senj, about 60 km south of Rijeka, and continue driving toward Zadar. If you are arriving from the direction of north, the highway Zagreb - Split is the fastest way. Or you can use the alternative, i.e. the old route Zagreb - Karlovac - Plitvice- Gracac -Zadar. There are bus lines from every bigger Western European cities to Zadar. Regular bus lines connect Zadar and Sukosan on a daily basis, and you can also use the taxi service.

By train
Via railway, Zadar is via Knin connected with Zagreb and the rest of Europe. Regular bus lines connect Zadar and Sukosan on a daily basis, and you can also use the taxi service.

By ship
If travelling by ship, you can use one of the regular ferry lines from Rijeka toward Zadar or international ferry lines from Ancona toward Zadar. The trip from Ancona to Zadar lasts 7 hours, however, there are also hydrofoil boats, lasting 3 hours.
