Marina Punat, Krk, Croatia

Marina Punat lies on the western side of Krk Island in the natural, well-protected bay, of the peaceful town, of Punat. It is located north of Punat, beside the shipyard Punat, on the eastern shore of Puntarska Draga Cove. It is the oldest Croatian marina and has a European blue banner in recognition of environmental protection. The high quality standards achieved, in servicing the local nautical tourism needs, lead to it's accreditation of ISO 9002 1994"certification in May 2002.

Approach: The channel leading into the harbor is about 3m deep, shallower on both sides and is narrow. The channel is well-marked by a series of lights in the water.

Open: All year round.

Mooring: The marina has 900 sea berths and 500 dry storage berths. AlI berths have water and power supply.

Facilities: Reception, exchange office (bureau de change), restaurant, Hotel Kanajt, Internet cafe, grocery shop, chandlery (nautical equipment and supplies shop), toilets and showers, car-parking, repair shop, 10 t crane, slipway, SO t travel lift, 20 t slip, air-conditioned workshop for vessel lacquering. The fuel station is 2 Nm away.

How to arrive to marina Punat, Krk island

Rijeka Aiport is just 30 minutes away (near Omisalj) on the northern side of Krk Island with regular charter flights from abroad as well as some internal connections. Krk, one of Croatia's largest islands is joined to the mainland by a toll bridge and has regular ferry services to the islands of Rab and Cres.

By plane
If arriving by plane, the Rijeka airport is the nearest, located precisely on the island Krk. The Pula airport is also nearby, and the airports in Zagreb, Ljubljana, Trieste and Venice, from where you can reach Punat by bus or rented car.

By car or bus
If arriving from the direction of Zagreb, just follow the highway Zagreb - Rijeka until you reach the exit for Crikvenica and island Krk. If arriving from the direction of Italy and Slovenia, after you cross the border at Pasjak and Rupe, continue driving towards Rijeka, i.e. island Krk. The Krk bridge is only 35 km far away from Punat. Via Rijeka. Krk is connected with every bigger Croatian and European city by bus lines.

By train
Via Rijeka. Punat is connected with every bigger Croatian city as well as that of the neighbouring countries by railway.

By ship
If travelling by ship, you can take every ferry line that goes to the ferry port in Rijeka.
