Pula, located on the western shore of Istria near its southern tip, is the largest town in Istria. It is an important industrial, cultural and tourist center. Open: All year round. Approach: Useful landmarks when approaching include a white tower with a red top, the ruins of a monastery on the island of Veruda as well as the marina offices. Care should be taken of the shoals along the shore. Mooring: The marina has 630 sea berths (accepting very large craft of tip to 40 m in length) and 180 dry berths. All berths have water and power supply. Facilities: Reception, exchange office (bureau de change), restaurant, toilets and showers, grocery shop, chandlery (nautical equipment shop), repair shop, 15 t crane, parking lot. The fuel station (water depth: 2.5m) is in the marina. Transport: Pula Airport is just 8 km away. Regular bus and rail lines connect Pula to all major Croatian towns.
